The Garden

Two of three community garden projects, in this cluster off Russell Road, are located on disused railway platforms at Kensington Olympia Station. The kitchen gardens provide growing spaces in raised beds for local residents and the third is a market garden project - Cultivating Kensington & Chelsea - where volunteers and the council's community gardeners raise seedlings to sell to plot-holders and the public. Network Rail have generously allowed platforms to be used for the gardens, part of a wider ongoing community gardening scheme. Access is from Russell Road, on the opposite side of the railway from Olympia Exhibition Centre over the footbridge.
