Our hugely popular cycling tours are led by experienced and friendly members of the London Cycling Campaign and Spokes - London Cycling. Where possible, the rides go through quieter, characterful streets, including Quietways and Cycle Superhighways. You are welcome to leave or join the rides at any point. No need to book – just turn up with your bike. Under-18s are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The rides are free, but you will need an Open Garden Squares Weekend ticket to visit the gardens. If you have not already bought one, you can buy it on the morning for £20 (Saturday - valid for both days) or £15 (Sunday only).
Santander Cycle Hire is ideal for short journeys between gardens in Zone 1 and parts of Zone 2.
There is now a dense network of cycle hire stations. The nearest one to each garden is shown on its web page.
For further details of Cycle Hire, please consult the Transport for London web site.
If you bring a Santander bike on a group ride, you need to be aware that you could be spending time looking for a docking station when you could be visiting gardens. If you don't return the bike periodically to a docking station, you could also be faced with a big bill.
