The Garden

St Luke’s is a welcoming Community Centre in south Islington. It provides space for local people of all ages to socialise and benefit from services and activities. Three award-winning gardens, hidden around the centre, are well maintained thanks to committed volunteers and all showcase what can be achieved in an urban setting. It has a Community Terrace with a creative and colourful potted plant display, climbers and small trees. There is also the Edible Yard, a productive community food-growing space with chickens and a large greenhouse. A shady corner - Woodland Courtyard - has been turned into an oasis for biodiversity.
