John Rose, a member of the Republican party, represents the 6th congressional District of Tennessee as a politician. Born on February 23, 1965, he has served as a U.S. House of Representatives member since January 3, 2019.
Rose has participated in multiple nonprofit organizations, such as the Tennessee State Fair Association, the Tennessee Tech Foundation, and the Tennessee Future Farmers of America Foundation in Canada and the United States. Representative John Rose of Tennessee, a Republican, is married to Chelsea Doss, a girl he met in high school. Chelsea received the Jerry and Betty Williams Rose Scholarship, a Tennessee Tech University scholarship named for John’s parents.
John, who was 42 years old at the time, was on the boards of the Tennessee Tech Foundation and the Tennessee FFA. She won the scholarship before turning 18. Others have voiced concerns regarding their relationship’s age and power dynamics, calling it grooming. Despite their differences, the pair has been married since 2011 and has two sons.

In 2018, Rose won the Republican primary for the Tennessee 6th District and went on to defeat Dawn Barlow in the general election with a vote share of more than 70%. He was elected to the House on January 3, 2019, and he is presently serving his third term.
Rose defeated Christopher Finley in the 2020 election with 73.7% of the vote and Randall Cooper in the 2022 election with 66.3% of the vote. He is a member of the House Financial Services and Agriculture Committees.
In addition to voting against the 2023 Fiscal Responsibility Act, he opposed the confirmation of Arizona and Pennsylvania’s 2020 electoral votes.
